Mark and Elizabeth had such a beautiful and enjoyable wedding day back in September! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for them and their guests. After coming together to create a smooth schedule for the day, the couple decided on renting a bus for most of the day so their whole party could enjoy time together as we took time exploring Des Moines for their portraits. No carpooling and stuffing dresses in cars. No getting lost. What a great idea, right?! It was the perfect solution for time well spent together while being productive, capturing great photos in the meantime.
Their ceremony was set inside the barn at Living History Farms, where friends and family gathered. After a sweet, intimate ceremony, it was SUCH a joy to be able to capture all the excitement and emotions while everyone celebrated with them as soon as they walked out into the fresh air. I love standing back and witnessing those genuine moments that you can’t make up. It was so evident that these two are so loved by a large group of family and friends.
Back at their reception, guests sent off well wishes for the couple by floating, lit lanterns in the courtyard. It was a beautiful night where everyone enjoyed a successful photo booth, loosening it up on the dance floor, or drinks in the courtyard. A perfect celebration planned for a sweet couple ❤
